1. King (2026)
Shah Rukh Khan is set to star alongside her daughter Suhana Khan for her debut film, tentatively titled ‘King.’ The action thriller will be directed by Siddharth Anand, with Shah Rukh serving as one of the producers of the project as well, alongside his wife, Gauri Khan, and Anand (‘Pathaan,’ ‘War,’ ‘FIghter’). The plot, written by Sujoy Ghosh and Anand follows a mentor-disciple duo who embark on a perilous journey, testing their survival skills against overwhelming odds. The cast includes Abhishek Bachchan, Rani Mukerji, Deepika Padukone, Anil Kapoor, Jackie Shroff, Jaideep Ahlawat, Saurabh Shukla, Arshad Warsi, Raghav Juyal, Abhay Verma, and Afghan-American actor Fahim Fazli. As of now, any details about the plot are being kept under wraps. Filming of ‘King’ has begun, and it is slated to be released in mid-2026.
2. The Ba***ds of Bollywood (TBA)
‘Stardom’ is an upcoming 6-episode series from Netflix, created and directed by Aryan Khan, son of Shah Rukh Khan, in his directorial debut. Aryan has co-written it with Bilal Siddiqi. Using self-aware humor and larger-than-life characters, the show will showcase a fictionalized account of Bollywood, AKA the Hindi film industry, from the POV of an outsider struggling to get in. Along with Lakshya Lalwani, Sahher Bambba, Mona Singh, and Raghav Juyal in prominent roles, ‘Stardom’ will also feature cameos of many A-list Bollywood stars, including Shah Rukh Khan, Ranbir Kapoor, Bobby Deol, Karan Johar, and Ranveer Singh, who will play fictional versions of themselves. The series recently wrapped up production and is waiting for a release date.
3. Tiger vs Pathaan (TBA)
After making a cameo appearance in ‘Tiger 3,’ Shah Rukh is set to feature alongside Salman Khan for their first full-fledged movie since ‘Karan Arjun.’ The ‘Pathaan’ filmmaker Siddharth Anand will be the helmsman, with Shah Rukh portraying Pathaan and Salman portraying Tiger. The cast also includes Ashutosh Rana, Ranvir Shorey, Kumud Mishra, and Tinnu Anand. Aditya Chopra is writing the script. It is reported that the production will kick off in 2026. Thus, we can expect the movie to be released sometime in 2027.
4. Pathaan 2 (TBA)
Reportedly, Khan will film ‘Pathaan 2,’ the sequel to the highly successful action movie ‘Pathaan,’ after ‘King.’ He will reprise the titular role of the Indian secret agent, while Deepika Padukone will return as Pakistani secret agent Rubina Mohsin. The plot and the rest of the cast are under wraps. Producer Aditya Chopra, Shridhar Raghavan, and Abbas Tyrewala have been working on the script for a long time, and production is expected to go on floors in 2026. The film is expected to lay the groundwork for larger conflicts within the YRF (Yash Raj Films) Spy Universe. Director Ayan Mukerji, who is also directing ‘War 2,’ is being considered to helm it.
