Stolen Plot Synopsis
Gautam Bansal gets to the train stop to pick his bro, Raman, for their mom’s big day. He finds him said to have taken a kid. They clear Raman’s name & plan to leave. Yet, they end up in a web of clues. Raman wants to find the kid & leads cops to a left house. It’s Surili’s hide spot. She tries to run & dies when Gautam hits her with a log. With no clues to Champa, they look in Surili’s stuff for hints. Jhumpa ties her & a mate to a care place in Bansdola. Cops then find out Jhumpa is a top bad guy. She runs off.
After they pay off cops & drive off, Raman tells Gautam he hid her in the car & she’s not bad. After big talks, a mad Gautam says yes to take them to Bansdola. But, things get rough soon. A clip gets out wrong, says they took kids. The folks from the town want to catch them & form a big mob. They strike fast. With no time to think, the three try to flee. A chase starts; the mob, now on bikes & cars, use all to hurt them. Out of the blue, a hunt for truth turns into a need to stay alive.
Stolen Ending: Is Jhumpa Reunited with Her Daughter?
The three of them barely escape the chase alive as they set out for Bansdola village to find Surili’s enigmatic accomplice, Acchelal. The villagers keep up their relentless pursuit, making their escape route more constrained. With Raman just inches from death, Gautam and Jhumpa are forced to abandon the car and make the decision to go; their only chance is to withstand the brutality of the mob and look for answers. Despite barely escaping her illegal adoption as an orphan with a forged birth certificate, Jhumpa reunites with her daughter after many difficult trials. As a result of Gautam’s heroic efforts, all those involved in this unlawful operation have been arrested.
Gautam is irritated throughout the film because he must tolerate this mess and misses his mother’s marriage. His frustration gradually transforms into anger and then despair as their circumstances worsen. His disregard for Jhumpa’s and her daughter’s fate lies at the heart of his response. He dismisses the idea of them getting the child back right away because he has a deep mistrust of her story. However, during their search, Gautam changes his mind and ultimately becomes the only man in the story who is still conscious and concerned about the baby’s welfare. His avoidant, self-centered personality changes into one that will stop at nothing to save Champa.
Even though Champa was spared those terrible conditions, his future is still bleak. Gautam finds out that Daya Madam and Jhumpa are going to go to jail for engaging in an illegal surrogacy. Champa’s fate remains uncertain despite the courage shown by Jhumpa and the brothers. She will cycle through different institutions without anyone to call a mother, even if she is saved. When Gautam asks if anyone will search for the child while she is being transported to the hospital, Panditji firmly responds that the system doesn’t give a damn about her. Gautam is forced to confront the harsh reality of the inequality and injustices that the poor experience at that time, which are exacerbated by the evils of people like Acchelal.
Who is Acchelal?
The tea-seller disclosed that Surili had previously been accused of being an accomplice to the Cursed Manor following a rigorous interrogation at the beginning of the film. We find out that this accomplice is known as Acchelal. Even though the entire story is devoted to establishing this enigmatic character, the revelation of his identity is ironic. Gautam and Jhumpa each learn Acchelal’s identity on their own. Jhumpa accomplishes this by breaking into the rehab facility and demanding to know where he is. Here, she finds out that Acchelal is a local wrestler who drives ambulances for the hospital.
By odd luck, Acchelal is found to be the one who drives the van with Raman & Gautam. After seeing that, Gautam starts to track Acchelal, who looks to rush. It is shown Acchelal saw his name in the drug fix list in Raman’s coat, forcing him to fast get a fake birth note for the kid & leave her, hiding all signs. Gautam, who sees this, goes fast to the spot at the last bit, busts them & makes a big fuss to stop their acts. Acchelal is caught in the act, & so is the care place, as the base of this bad act. Though Champa is set free, the case of Jhumpa’s mom is still not clear.
Is Champa the Real Daughter of Jhumpa?
Raman receives a call from Jhumpa’s brother while she is driving through a crowd of people. Here, Jhumpa’s brother asserts that she made a grave error by abducting her madam’s daughter. After learning this, Gautam and Raman are furious and regret their choice to join the search and put their trust in Jhumpa. A target is placed on their head as a result of their involvement, and Raman is shot. Gautam curses Jhumpa for ruining their lives with her deceit and drives her away when she tries to help Raman. In order to demonstrate that she is telling the truth, Jhumpa reveals her surgical scar, proving that Champa is, in fact, her child.
This cathartic moment follows a string of uncertainties regarding Jhumpa’s actual intentions. She first says that after her husband falsely accused her of a crime, she fled her village. But bits of the truth are exposed in the form of clues: pictures of her daughter living in luxury and the sizeable sums of money in her bag raise suspicions and cast doubt on her claim of innocence. The new assumption is that Jhumpa had been the illegal surrogate mother for a wealthy woman, whom she refers to as Daya Madam.
In a parallel scene, the police eventually apprehend Jhumpa in the rehabilitation facility and choose to transport her to the hospital prior to making an arrest, while Gautam follows Acchelal to the hospital. After receiving payment for giving the baby away, Panditji questions her about why she fled with the child during the ride. She responded that they were already with the family and that she had accepted the payment for one child. Indeed, Jhumpa had given birth to twins. She feels she has a right to her daughter because the agreement was never for two children. that she is a gift from God that will help her overcome her loneliness.
What Happens to Gautam and Raman?
The two go to where Raman is resting after Panditji saves Gautam from the mob attack because they have lost too much blood, but they discover it is deserted. When Gautam realizes he might lose his brother, he completely loses it and sits on the ground to cry. When the police finally locate Raman, who is barely alive, they take him and Gautam to the ambulance right away. Gautam is seen sitting next to Raman in the movie’s last scene, which takes place after the hospital incident. His dejected expression conveys the psychological damage caused by this terrifying experience. Like Champa, their future is still up in the air.
The brothers experienced unspeakable horror as a result of the viral video that propagated a false narrative. Because pure emotion is destroyed by rumors and mob mentality, their kindness is met with violence. Facts and reality are subordinated to fear: Gautam, a brother who only wants to save his brother and go home, is beaten and nearly killed; Jhumpa, a mother who has been taken advantage of by her family and only wants to be with her daughter again, is accused and mistrusted; Raman, the first character to show sympathy for a distraught mother, is ultimately shot. Many innocent people are destroyed by a fabricated video that is carelessly shared, readily accepted, and used as justification for action. While innocent people suffer the repercussions, the anonymous creator of the widely shared video avoids recognition or accountability.
