Chandigarh 03 Feb 2023: To avoid pollution due to Vehicles, it is necessary that we increase the use of electric vehicles. The Government’s EV policy will be effective only when the participation of common people increases.
The above views were expressed on Friday in Chandigarh by Chandigarh’s Home Secretary and Transport Department’s Secretary IAS Nitin Kumar Yadav in three-day E.V. expo while addressing the Technical session – Policies of States to Promote Electric Vehicles.
He said that E.V. will act like a game changer for the whole country. Climate change is a huge topic. Whose loss will have to be borne by everyone. E.V. is being promoted after looking at the challenges of the future.
Giving information about the objectives of this event, Crest CEO Debendra Dalai said that the use of electric vehicles will not only be important in environmental protection, but the common people will also get direct benefits from it. He said that charging points for electric vehicles would be set up at many places in the city. Work has already started for this.
Speaking on the occasion, Naveen Seth, Assistant Secretary General, PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry, said that this is the first attempt made by the Chamber in collaboration with the Chandigarh Administration. It will be expanded in the future.
