In a steadfast show of support for the protesting BPSC candidates, Purnea MP Rajesh Ranjan alias Pappu Yadav has vowed to continue the agitation until justice is delivered, including taking the matter to the Supreme Court.

Addressing the media during the Rail Chakka Jam at Sachiwalay Halt in Patna here on Friday, Yadav strongly criticized the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) for alleged irregularities in the 70th combined preliminary examination.

Yadav reaffirmed his commitment to the cause, stating, “We will go to the Supreme Court on this issue. BPSC has done wrong and it has to cancel the entire examination. We will continue to protest on this matter. Our protest will continue until the paper leak in Bihar and the country is stopped.”

He emphasized the legitimacy and resilience of the movement, drawing parallels with historic protests. “When the Meena movement, Jat movement, reservation movement, farmers’ movement, Mandal movement, Kamandal movement, and others could last for long, why shouldn’t the BPSC examination Satyagraha continue? This movement will persist until justice is delivered,” Yadav remarked.

After leading a successful Rail Chakka Jam at Sachiwalay Halt, which disrupted rail services and highlighted the frustration of students, Yadav led a protest march to the Income Tax roundabout in Patna.

Yadav also linked the BPSC protest to broader issues of governance and transparency, emphasizing the need for systemic reforms to prevent examination irregularities, ensure fairness, and protect the aspirations of students across Bihar and India.

Reacting to Prashant Kishor’s hunger strike in Gandhi Maidan, the Purnea MP dismissed the move as a mere spectacle, questioning Kishor’s intentions and timing. Yadav accused Kishor of choosing a location likely to face administrative action, thereby undermining the seriousness of his protest.

Yadav critiqued Kishor’s choice of venue, saying, “He (Prashant Kishor) knew that the administration would remove him, and hence, he is doing dharna at that place. Why did he not sit at the Gardanibagh dharna site? And why was he absent for the first 14 days of the agitation?”

Yadav implied that Kishor’s decision to stage the protest at the Bapu statue in Gandhi Maidan lacked genuine commitment and was intended for publicity rather than addressing the students’ grievances.

Earlier, Pappu Yadav along with hundreds of his supporters blocked the railway services at the Sachiwalay Halt railway station in Patna on Friday morning.

The move of Pappu Yadav was a part of his pre-scheduled plan to disrupt the railway operation in support of candidates who have been on a hunger strike for 17 days, demanding the cancellation of the BPSC 70th Combined Preliminary Examination.

The Patna district administration has deployed a police force at the protest site. Despite the heavy deployment, Pappu Yadav along with his supporters managed to enter the station and sat on the railway tracks.
