Newbie Sonai Birje, who will soon be seen in thriller Tipppsy, said her father was the original Tarzan, and taught her many things about discipline and dedication.
Sonia Birje was interacting with the media promoting her movie Tipppsy, about a group of girlfriends on a Goa bachelorette party trip who find themselves with a dead body.
When asked about her father and things he might have taught her, Sonai said, “My father Hemant Birje, he is the original Tarzan, he always told me this, be focused, be humble, be always on time, work on your craft, rehearse and deliver your scene, and have faith in yourself. And my father was happy that I was doing Deepak Tijori’s film.”
When asked about working with actor turned director Deepak, actress Sonai said, “Deepak Tijori was an actor, before getting into direction, so he understands an actor’s point of view, he knows where the actor is coming from, what he is feeling or thinking, so kept the dialogue open with actors on set, and let them also explore the scene. Deepak is amazing, I am so glad he is my director, and as an actor, sharing screen space with him was wow.”
“Deepak Tijori is a hard-working individual, which is something I admire and look up-to, and this is something I have been taught as well, hard-work is god’s giving, value it” added Sonia.
The movie also stars Nazia Hussain, Kainaat Arora, Alankrita Sahai, and Mandeep Kaur Sandhu in the lead roles. The movie is produced by Raju Chadha and Rahul Mittra, slated for 10th May 2024 release.
