Powerhouse performer Kalki Koechlin celebrates 10 years of Yeh Jawaani Hain Deewani, and pens a note highlighting qualities or fond memories of her co-star from the film, such as Deepika Padukone, Ranbir Kapoor, Sidharth Roy Kapur and filmmaker Ayan Mukerji.
Released in 2013, a coming-of-age romantic comedy-drama film directed by Ayan Mukerji, written by Mukerji and Hussain Dalal, starred Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone in their second film together after Bachna Ae Haseeno (2008), alongside Kalki Koechlin and Aditya Roy Kapur.
The story revolves around two persons who meet during a trekking trip where one falls in love with the other but refrains from expressing it. They soon drift apart but end up meeting again at a friend’s wedding.
Sharing a video post from the film on her social media profile, Kalki captioned it, “How we’ve all grown and learnt since then and yet some things I can’t imagine any different, like @deepikapadukone will always be teaching us a dance step we can’t follow, @adityaroykapur will always be our big Lebowski, Ranbir will always play a prank that makes us squeal and @ayan_mukerji will always ask us uncomfortably personal questions that lead to the best conversations, loved the memories we collected here, happy 10 years guys”
Meanwhile on the work front, Kalki will soon be seen in Emma and Angel, a movie about hope, survival, and the power of friendship. The edge-of-your-seat thriller explores the depth of the human-pet relationship.
