Actress Sanya Malhotra is probably only actress who ruled the OTT platforms with back-to-back releases in last 2 years, says she is happy that OTT has expanded the eco-system of the industry, helps creators to be more experimental.
Sanya Malhotra was interacting with NewsHelpline on the sidelines of IMW Buzz Digital Awards Red Carpet gala in Mumbai.
Talking about OTT platforms, Sanya Malhotra said, “I think it is wonderful because the eco-system is increasing for the industry, and it makes me very happy that as creators we can experiment a lot with the OTT”
“I am very excited because last two years have been quite exciting for my career, Ludo, Paggalait, Meenakshi Sundareshwar, and Love Hostel, all released digitally, I can see the shift happening in the audience and my career as well, so I am quite excited to be here” added Sanya.
Sanya Malhotra starrer Love Hostel, also starring Bobby Deol and Vikrant Massey went viral upon release. Adding about her forthcoming release, she said, “Love Hostel was last one to release on OTT, there are some more films coming up soon, I will be making the announcement very soon. My film HIT – The First Case is releasing on 15th July, with Rajkummar Rao”
Sanya Malhotra has also lined-up Kathal with Netflix, apart from an untitled film with south director Atlee.
