Anurag Kashyap’s highly anticipated new-age thriller Dobaaraa has time and again made news for its successful openings at the various film festivals across the world. The entire team of Dobaaraa received a standing ovation at the London Film Festival last month and now the film is all set to open at the prestigious Indian Film Festival of Melbourne 2022, which will begin on 12 August 2022 and will continue till 30th August 2022.
After two years of IFFM being held online, the festival is gearing up to be held physically this year with the vision of bringing the vibrancy of Indian cinema on the big screen. Interestingly Dobaaraa film is invited and becomes the opener movie at the multiple film festivals at international Film festivals.
Talking about the film being released in all genre festivals and receiving global recognition, the director Anurag Kashyap says “ Its a proud moment for me and my team that Dobaara is playing at all the genre festivals. It was at London Film Festival, Fantasia Film Festival 2022 and Melbourne Film Festival 2022. I am looking forward to seeing how the world receives this film and how the audience receives this film. Dobaaraa is a new-age thriller that reunites Taapsee and Anurag yet again. With Dobaaraa, the hit Jodi of Taapsee & Pavail Gulati will be seen again after the stupendous success of Thappad but this time in a trippy thriller.
Starring award-winning actress Taapsee Pannu, the film is directed by the acclaimed director Anurag Kashyap and produced by Shobha Kapoor & Ektaa R Kapoor’s Cult Movies, a new wing under Balaji Telefilms and Sunir Kheterpal & Gaurav Bose (Athena).
