Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has taken significant measures to ensure his safety following several security threats, with enhanced security arrangements at his residence in Bandra. The actor, who has always been a popular figure with a large fan following, has now installed bulletproof glass on the balcony of his flat at Galaxy Apartments, providing an added layer of protection when he greets his fans.
The new security upgrades come months after an unsettling incident in April 2024, when two men, allegedly linked to the notorious Lawrence Bishnoi gang, fired shots outside the building. The incident raised serious concerns regarding the actor’s safety, prompting the installation of the bulletproof glass as a precautionary measure. The private security contractor hired by Khan has also implemented a high-tech CCTV camera system around the property to monitor the area for any suspicious activity.
In addition to the CCTV cameras, razor wire fencing is being set up around the building, further strengthening the perimeter. These enhanced measures complement the 24-hour police protection that Salman Khan already enjoys. The actor has been a frequent target of threats from the Bishnoi gang in the past, making these updates all the more necessary.
Earlier, in June 2024, the Navi Mumbai Police uncovered a plot to assassinate Salman Khan while he was visiting his farmhouse in Panvel, adding to the already tense atmosphere surrounding his safety. The police are investigating further, while Salman continues to take proactive steps to ensure his and his family’s security.
