Actress Esha Deol along with Shaan and Shaimak Davar graced the launch of Tik Tik Plastic 2.0 song, which aims to educate masses about single use plastic ban.
An attempt to raise awareness and finding solutions to combat plastic pollution, an anthem “Tik Tik Plastic 2.0. is a joint initiative by the Bhamla Foundation, Bollywood Hungama, the United Nations Environment Programme, and the G20 India Presidency.
Talking about her association with the song and initiative, Esha Deol said, “Bhamla Foundation has been around for 25 years, and we have all watched them very closely, today, I feel, we are not just pretty faces, we’ve purpose behind that as well and with this face if I am able to give out a wonderful message, about plastic pollution, and various subject to safeguard our environment, why not”
“Also being a parent today, it is my responsibility, it is so lovely that they have come up with such a lovely song, I can see my girl singing and dancing to it and learning so much more” added Esha.
The song features an incredible pool of talent and celebrities, such as Shaan, Sonu Nigam, Shankar Mahadevan, Armaan Malik, Kanika Kapoor, Neeti Mohan, Shiamak Davar, Sunidhi Chauhan, Shekhar Ravjiani, Swanand Kirkire, Ayushmann Khurrana, Raveena Tandon and more.
Alia Bhatt also features in video, sharing the opening monologue of the song, while Gulzar is the narrator.
With lyrics by Swanand Kirkire and composition by Shaan, the song delivers a powerful message that encourages environmental conservation. The anthem is choreographed by Shiamak Davar.
